Specialized evaluation and care for fluid buildup beneath the retina that can blur or distort central vision.

Central serous retinopathy occurs when fluid collects beneath the retina, often near the macula responsible for detailed central vision. It commonly affects one eye and may cause blurred vision, distorted lines, a dim area in the center of vision, or objects appearing smaller than they are.
A comprehensive retinal examination and optical coherence tomography (OCT) can help identify fluid beneath the retina and monitor changes over time. Many cases improve without treatment, while persistent or recurring cases may require additional testing and treatment based on the patient’s individual needs.

Changes in your central vision should be evaluated by a retina specialist.
